How To Solve The Leakage of Cylinder Head

The problem of cylinder head leakage requires corresponding solutions based on the specific cause of the leakage. The following are common causes and solutions for cylinder head leaks:

Cylinder gasket problem. If water leakage occurs from the gap between the cylinder block and the cylinder head, it is usually due to a problem with the cylinder gasket, and the cylinder gasket needs to be replaced in time.

Cylinder head trachoma. If water leakage occurs elsewhere in the cylinder head, it may be caused by the bursting of air bubbles (trachoma) produced during the manufacturing process of the cylinder head. In this case, the engine manufacturer should be contacted to file a claim or replace the cylinder head body free of charge.

Water tank or pipe problems. If the leak is caused by car vibration or an accident that causes the water tank pipe to break, you can try adding a strong water tank leak-stopping agent, but this method is suitable for smaller cracks or holes.

Valve cover problem. If the water is leaking from the valve chamber, it may be a problem with the air filter and the air intake system should be checked.

Cylinder block cracks. If the cracks in the cylinder are not large and there is no damage to the inside, it can be repaired with AB glue or metal plate bonding. If the cracks are larger, the cylinder may need to be replaced with a new one.

When dealing with such problems, if the driver is not sure of the cause or solution, it is recommended that the driver contact a professional car repairman or 4S shop for inspection and repair to ensure the sealing and safety of the engine.
